About Cheryl McKinnon:
Cheryl McKinnon is a principal analyst at Forrester Research serving the needs of Enterprise Architecture Professionals. She covers the trends, challenges, and recommended practices for managing enterprise content. Her focus is delivering research and advisory services into areas including enterprise content management (ECM), content archiving, enterprise file-sync and file-share, document-centric collaboration, life-cycle management, information governance, and eDiscovery.
Before joining Forrester, Cheryl ran an independent consulting firm, serving both private- and public-sector clients. Cheryl has served as vice president of marketing for industry association AIIM, was chief marketing officer of Nuxeo, and held senior management roles with OpenText and Hummingbird.
Cheryl frequently presents at events such as conferences, seminars, and webinars. She is a longtime member of AIIM and ARMA, and has served on their association conference and standards committees. Cheryl has been a guest contributor to a variety of industry publications and has been quoted in TechCrunch, FierceContentManagement, KMWorld, CMSWire, among others.
Cheryl has a bachelor's degree from the University of Winnipeg, an MA in history from Carleton University, and has completed coursework toward a Ph.D. in history at the University of Ottawa, though she remains (regrettably) "ABD."
About Toby Bell:
Toby Bell is a former lead analyst at Gartner and has over 25 years of leadership experience in technology strategy, analysis, development, and delivery. His work history ranges from marketing and communications, software development, and global consulting at Ernst & Young and Arthur Andersen to unstructured data and case management technology research and analysis at Gartner.
He has provided strategic advice to many companies – particularly about leveraging unstructured data and analytics – and has helped them change the way they approach and understand business information resources. Toby has written a strong body of research and is widely quoted across technology and business media.
Prior to IBM, Toby was Executive Vice President at a content analytics company. He frequently speaks on IBM’s Cognitive technologies, articulating how the explosion of unstructured data and the way ECM/Content Services and cognitive solutions work will change many aspects of how people learn and live.
About Jeff Gierlach:
Jeff Gierlach is the Chief Technology Officer of Image Process Design, LLC. Gierlach oversees the development and implementation of IPD's enterprise technology and his portfolio of responsibilities includes research and development, customer support as well as testing and evaluation. Gierlach also plays a key role in decisions that affect the technical integrity of IPD's products, services and processes.
Prior to joining IPD, Gierlach spent several years in software development for the enterprise application integration (EAI), supply chain management (SCM) and execution industries. He also served as Vice President of Product Development for Viewlocity, a global provider of EAI and SCM, and had responsibilities for all development and support activities in Europe and Asia.
