IPD Opens its Software to CM8 Customers

Bloomfield Hills, Mich. – September 24, 2009 - Image Process Design, Inc. (IPD) is pleased to announce the next in a series of crucial integrations to its Ultera/P8 product. This integration links IPD’s P8 based solution with the IBM Content Manager Enterprise Edition 8.4.1, allowing CM8 clients to utilize the IBM FileNet Business Process Manager software.

IPD has been an IBM ValueNet partner since 1991. Many leading Insurance companies already rely on IPD to leverage IBM content and process platforms to more effectively automate mission-critical work processes. Developed on IPD’s advanced framework and IBM’s FileNet P8 platform, Ultera/P8 is IPD’s fourth generation application. Ultera/P8 web provides the line of business application layer which brings active content within the CM8 repository together with the enterprise business process management capabilities ofP8.

The new CM8 integration provides application interfaces for both CM8 and BPM together inside the Ultera/P8 application. Ultera/P8 is an out-of-the-box Content Enabled Vertical Application (CEVA) that allows customers to realize immediate business benefits from an investment in the IBM FileNet P8 platform. Prior to the new Ultera/P8 content connector, IBM’s CM8 customers were unable to take advantage of the many capabilities of the BPM product. The connector creates a unique product offering in the market place and opens IBM customers up to new cost-effective solutions.

"IPD has spent years working with our customers to develop specialized functionality to improve operational efficiencies, reduce cycle times, and increase service levels and quality,” said Steven Racine, CEO, IPD. “The Ultera/P8 solution in conjunction with the CM8 integrator fills a current void faced by a large group of IBM content customers."

The features of the integration will be on display at the IBM Information On Demand Conference October 25 – October 29 in Las Vegas. IPD will have a booth in the IBM ECM Pavilion (#906) and executives will be on hand to discuss the newCM8 integration and IPD’s applications for insurance.
