Image Process Design named to “Inc. 500” for third consecutive year.

Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, February 6, 2001- Image Process Design (IPD), the leading provider of workflow, process, and content management solutions for the insurance industry, has been named by “Inc. Magazine” to its prestigious “Inc. 500” list of the nation’s fastest-growing privately held companies for the third consecutive year (1998, 1999 and 2000).

IPD is recognized by the magazine for its unprecedented growth of 960 percent during the preceding five years, placing it number 267 among 500 companies nation-wide and number eight among 14 Michigan companies.

Founded in 1991, IPD. (http://www.ipdsolution.com) is a software development and systems integration company specializing in large-scale workflow, process automation, content management, and e-Business solutions for the health and life insurance industries. The company provides packaged and customized software solutions, as well as consulting, training and project management services necessary to consistently achieve successful implementations.

IPD produces The IPD Solution Suite, a workflow and process management software application that dramatically increases productivity, significantly reduces processing time and helps companies reduce the cost of doing business by increasing the amount of work employees can process each day. The system is targeted at the high volume, mission critical processes of insurance companies, such as; claims, enrollments, underwriting and customer service. The IPD Solution Suite is an integrated hardware and software product that turns digitized paper documents, faxes, phone contacts, e-mail and other types of data into "electronic work objects" which are then intelligently orchestrated throughout the enterprise. The system eliminates bottlenecks using sophisticated automation, and makes work in process and related information available throughout an enterprise at the click of a mouse.

IPD boasts an impressive list of clients that include many the nation’s largest health and life insurance companies, including Humana, Pacific Life, Harvard Pilgrim, PacificCare Health Systems, Great American Life and more than a dozen Blue Cross and Blue Shield affiliates.

IPD is positioned for sustained growth and success in the future. In January 2001, IPD will release the next version of its software application, i-Suite, which extends its already successful product, The IPD Solution Suite, to the Web. i-Suite will provide exponential improvements in productivity, while greatly enhancing stakeholder satisfaction. IPD has been recognized by the Gartner Group as the leader in providing web-based workflow and process automation software for insurance companies.

IPD is a privately held company, located at 6905 Telegraph Road, Bloomfield Hills, MI, and is lead by president and owner, Steve Racine. Racine was recognized in 1998 as Michigan Technology’s “Entrepreneur of the Year.”
